Cozumel Mexican Cuisine was founded in 2019 by José Aguilera, born from a lifelong passion for sharing the vibrant flavors of Mexico’s coastal regions. With more than 35 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, José built Cozumel as a place where guests can enjoy fresh seafood, handcrafted recipes, and genuine service — all under one roof.

A hidden gem, loved by many
Great food, friendly staff and wonderful owner. I ordered the Camarones a la Diabla as always with extra fried jalapeños. This place has it all, even vegetarian options with heat and spice for all. Everything is amazing here, including the steak dishes, and the portions are big. The chips and salsa are authentic — truly made from scratch and not watered down.

10 stars if I could give them I would. The vibe is nice, the owner was attentive, knowledgeable, and funny… but the best? The food was phenomenal. Fresh and high quality. We will absolutely be coming back.
